When are Services?
Services are held each Sunday morning at 10.00 am and last for about an hour. We provide Youth Religious Religious education at that time as well as competent nursery care for preschoolers and toddlers.
Where are you located?
We are located at 3616 Lake Mead Blvd, you can find more information about how to find us here.
What do people wear to Sunday services?
Dress is casual. This of course is Las Vegas and the summer's demand us to dress accordingly. Our only concern is that you come and therefore wear what is comfortable for you. Some people dress more formally, and that's fine too!
Is everyone welcome?
Yes! One of Unitarian Universalism's central values is respect for everyone. As a liberal religious tradition, UUCLV is a welcoming, inclusive, and open to all, regardless of religious belief, sexual orientation, race or cultural background, family or other personal status.
What if I need assistance or accommodations to attend?
Our facilities are accessible for those who are handicapped or have limited mobility. We will be happy to provide assistance or accommodation to allow you to attend our Services, if needed, listening devices are also available. Please let us know how we can make your visit a successful one, either by calling the church office 702-437-2404 or by talking with one of our Greeters when you come to a Sunday Service.
If I visit, may I bring my children?
Absolutely!!! We encourage you to bring your kids! We have childcare for infants & preschoolers and we offer Lifespan Faith Development "Sunday school". Children join us for the first part of the Service before going to their program.
What is the religious background of UUCLV members?
Some of us have been UU's our entire lives, many of us are "refugees" from other faiths and denominations. Many members are not religious in the conventional sense; some do not believe in God, but others do. We are interested in exploring the larger questions of life in the context of a supportive community.
What can I expect when I visit your service?
A typical service includes thoughtful readings or personal stories from UUCLV's settled minister or church members, musical performances, singing together, and a sermon by our minister or guest speaker. Please visit our the Service Sampler page for more details.
If you have a question that is not listed here please feel free to call our church office; 702-437-2404, email us at admin@uuclv.org or ask one of our greeters when you visit.
