INTERIM DIRECTOR OF LIFESPAN FAITH DEVELOPMENT

We are seeking an interim candidate with a well-developed understanding of Unitarian Universalism, RE and related activities. The ability to plan, develop, organize, implement and evaluate activities is essential. Relational, problem-solving and communication skills and experience working with diverse groups and individuals will benefit the candidate. Our ideal candidate will have the willingness and ability to promote the strategic plan and mission of UUCLV and help guide us through to our growth.

Position Details:

• Interim Position, to begin August 2008
  
  
• Minimum 30 hours per week
  
  

Primary Interim Responsibilities:

• Administer a comprehensive LFD plan for the children, youth, and adults to develop programs in accordance with the UUCLV vision
  
  
• Acquire, develop and implement an age-appropriate religious education curriculum that is meaningful and relevant for the children and youth of the congregation
  
  
• Administer and oversee an Adult Lifespan Faith Development Program
  
  
• Recruit, train and oversee volunteer teachers, nursery caregivers and youth advisors
  
  
• Work closely with the Minister, LFD Committee, Board of Trustees, and Staff
  
  
• Communicate to the congregation regularly on program activities and developments

• A growing, welcoming 140+ member congregation that serves about 40 youth from preschool through high school
  
  
• Supportive and active LFD volunteers and parents
  
  
• Wide variety of standing committees, activities, and groups that support our UUCLV mission and vision
