Upcoming Learning Opportunities
Our learning opportunities is ever expanding. Our goals ask us to build on our lifespan and multigenerational learning opportunities to help meet the spiritual and personal growth needs of our congregation.
Here is what is coming up soon...
Workshops for our Well Being
Gather to explore and exercise ways to come together and nurture healthy boundaries in our societal culture and wide array of communities. We will look deeper into topics that can offer us personal and spiritual growth, inspire change, and exercise our mind, body, and spirit. These intensive one-day workshops provide participants with new views, tools, and purpose.

Through a carefully crafted set of helping steps and the use of creative educational processes, it is possible for you to learn how to provide practical help. Expect to be challenged. Expect to have feelings. Expect to be hopeful. UNplug the Christmas Machine
Unplug The Christmas Machine Workshop
Explore your needs for a joyful, stress-free holiday
November 4, 2017 10am to 2:30pm
What are the first three words that come to mind when you hear the word “Christmas”? Does is stir excitement? Dread? A sense of being overwhelmed?
As a faith of many beliefs, this time of year can mean many things to many people. This is a wonderful opportunity to rediscover “your” meaning of Christmas.
Based on the popular book, Unplug the Christmas Machine, by Jo Robinson and Jean Staeheli, this workshop helps people reduce their stress and increase their enjoyment by making simple changes in the celebration. Participants will be given a chance to examine their current practices, define their values, create a fantasy Christmas or new holiday tradition, then combine all their insights into a workable plan for the coming holiday season.
Participants will also be invited to join us for the Winter Pageant if they’d like to create a small “vignette” as we share in our new found practices, or renewed traditions.
All are welcome. Lunch & Childcare provided.
