Robert "Bob" B. MacPhail
Dear friend and member of UUCLV, "Bob" Robert B. MacPhail died May 18, 2025 at the age of 85. Bob's life was marked by intellect, warmth, curiosity, humor, and a deep devotion to the people he loved. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, connection, and countless memories that will be cherished by his family and all who knew him. He was a lovely gentleman.

A memorial service will be held on September 6,
11 AM at
Unitarian Universalist North Parish of North Andover Massachusetts.

Help us celebrate the life of Harry Chin: UUCLV member for more than 25 years. 

Harry was born in 1935 and raised in Passaic, NJ. He lived in Kinnelon, NJ for 30+ years with his wife, Connie, and children, before retiring to Las Vegas in 1997. Harry attended MIT and graduated from NJIT (B.S. in Electrical Engineering). For 30+ years, he worked for The Port Authority of NY and NJ in the World Trade Center's Twin Towers. Harry was an avid tennis player and a home improvement enthusiast. He was an officer/member of the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of LV.

Harry is survived by Connie, his wife of 62 years; children Matthew (Valerie Sims) Chin and Melissa (Thomas Theel) Chin; grandchildren Anastasia Sims-Chin, Parker Sims-Chin, Magdalena Theel and Eva Theel; brothers David (Marilyn) and Alfred (Gloria); 4 nephews and 1 niece. He was preceded in death by brother Clinton Chin.

Please join us at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Las Vegas on Saturday, April 13th, 2024 at 10am for a Celebration of Life for Dr. Marietta Nelson. 

​Marietta was a local ophthalmologist who cared for thousands of low income children over her career, taught hundreds of students, and worked for a stronger physician workforce in Southern Nevada. She was a wonderful supporter of UUCLV. We invite you to read her obituary. 

Marietta will be laid to rest in a ceremony at the So. NV Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veterans Memorial Dr, Boulder City, NV. Please join the family on Wednesday April 10, 2024, at 8:00 am.
