The UUCLV Community Outreach Group is pleased to host the Las Vegas Battle Jacket Sewing Club’s mid June meeting! The LVBJSC is an inclusive all ages community that focuses on punk and heavy metal fashion (but they'll support just about any project someone brings). If you have a sewing project or you just want to hang out with some crafty folks, join the Las Vegas Battle Jacket Sewing Club on June 22 at 1:00PM!

in the UUCLV Library

We are a group of UUCLV members and friends who want to address social justice issues impacting our local community, the City of Las Vegas, the State of NV, the USA or the world. We meet monthly to discuss calls to action, services, and events we need to attend to make a difference.

There is participation in our food pantry, LBGTQ+ events and remembrance days, MLK vigils and parades, networking with SURJ (Showing Up For Racial Justice), holding Religious Education events and Sunday services promoting Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion for those being oppressed.

We are looking into someone who can also interpret via sign language and other languages.

Pledging season kicks off for the 2024-2025 Church Fiscal Year on March 16th. Come join us to celebrate this yearly process so we may build up a budget before July 1st, when the year begins. The pledge drive runs from March 16th through April 14th.

Your yearly pledge amounts give us an idea of how much we can expect to be able to spend and save from July 2024 to June 2025. Developing a budget before the year comes lets us know if we can hire additional employees, Committee leaders, needed equipment, pay bills and fees, and to make repairs around our grounds. It's very important for you to look ahead and see what you can afford to give.

Know that your pledge amount can change throughout the year if your budget allows. A pledge does not lock YOU into an amount but it does let us get a glimpse of the year ahead.

ANNUAL WORSHIP TEAM MEETING

Worship team is having their annual meeting on June 8, 2025 to plan the upcoming year. Members Only.

The role of this new committee is to look into the feasibility of hiring a minister at 25%. It would also include coming up with a list of duties of the minister and the amount of fair compensation. It may even be part of the selecting the minister, if we choose to move forward. Once the committee has completed its work, it would forward a report to the Board of Trustees for their action. If you are interested in being a part of developing a plan for the future of UUCLV, please send an email to Mark.

The HUUmanist Forum is for UUCLV Members and friends who identify as Humanist or want to know more. The forum covers pressing social issues with guest speakers and videos of prominent people in the Humanist field.

This group meets monthly at noon on the fourth Sunday of the month and is open to everyone.

The HUUmanist forum has suspended meetings during this time of Covid-19. Saty tuned for when they begin meeting again.
