Bruce Turner, Board President, Board of Trustees
Bruce Turner and his wife of 51 years, Patti, have lived in Las Vegas for 37 years. They have two daughters and one grandson. Patti was the Suitcase Gallery lady for many years throughout the Clark County School District and taught in Sandy Valley and at the Goodsprings two-room school. Bruce retired as Planning Director for the Regional Transportation Commission of Clark County in 2010. He currently teaches part time in the UNLV sociology department. Bruce has been a member of UUCLV for the past 5 years. His main frivolous interests are anime (Japanese animation), opera, and travel, on trains when possible.

Nancy Czar, Board Vice President, Board of TrusteesNancy Czar and her wife, Rosemary, have been together for almost 40 years and legally married for 6 (YEAH!). They have a son, John, and a large extended family. They have been members of the congregation for about 5 years. Nancy stay busy during the week running the office and day to day operations of their commercial millwork business. Nancy and Rose enjoy camping and travelling - spending summers in their RV in Michigan with friends and family.

Kathy Espin, Secretary, Board of Trustees
Kathy Espin, M.A., is internship coordinator and lecturer at the Hank Greenspun School of Journalism and Media Studies at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. For 10 years, she was self-employed as a freelance writer, PR consultant and podium coach. A former writer and city editor for the Las Vegas SUN, she spent 15 years in public relations, advertising, and marketing in the casino industry. She volunteers as a Court Appointed Special Advocate for foster children with Clark County District Court and is a former member of the CASA Foundation Board of Trustees. A native of Charlotte, N.C., she has a late son, two grown children with three granddaughters, and two “heart” grandchildren.

Keith McMillen, Treasurer, Board of Trustees
Keith has been an active member of UUCLV for almost 5 years. He has found many kindred spirits in the congregation and wants to help keep UUCLV healthy and growing, both for himself and his family. Now retired, Keith spent his career writing computer software and managing MIS groups in communications, sales, marketing, healthcare and insurance. He has a B.S. in Journalism and an MBA specializing in information systems. A widower, he keeps grounded with his daughter, Erin, and her husband Tim, and their two daughters, Kirsten and Katelyn. When down time does appear Keith will usually be found doing something with trains; building models, chasing the real thing or reading about them. Don't ask unless you have an hour.

Hilary Howarth, Special Committees, Board of Trustees
Hilary Howarth is a lifelong Unitarian Universalist. She attended the Summit, NJ. as a child and has been an active adult UU member since her late 20s. She has served UU congregations in San Francisco, Seattle, and now here in Las Vegas as of August of 2011. As a member of UUCLV, she has been an organizer and has spearheaded many of the events UUCLV has to offer. In 2019, she was elected to a three-year term on the UUCLV Board of Trustees, responsible for Special Committees. Professionally, Hilary has taught in Asia, coordinated an international exchange program for the YMCA in NYC, directed a 11,000 person fundraiser bicycle ride in San Francisco, administered a variety of programs at the University of Washington, as well as, been a small business owner. Her personal pursuits include travel, board games, oil painting, writing, and teaching.
Dave Richards, Standing Committees, Board of Trustees
Dave Richards and his family have lived in Las Vegas since 1998. As his wife, Laura, grew up in Las Vegas, moving here meant having extended family nearby. Dave joined UUCLV in 2004 and has taken on a variety of roles within the congregation. He is currently serving his second stint on the Board of Trustees. Dave has also been active with the Religious Education program in particular working as a Youth Adviser to our amazing high school aged kids. He is also a certified facilitator with the Our Whole Lives (OWL) comprehensive human sexuality program. Another passion has been with the Small Group Ministry programs. Dave has been a part of the Chalice Circles SGM since the program began many years ago. Professionally, Dave is a Realtor and also finds other outlets to perform customer service at a very high level. His work has been very rewarding! When not working Dave can usually be found somewhere in the outdoors, usually on one of the myriad of hiking trails available to us in Southern Nevada.

Stu Webster, At Large, Board of Trustees
Stuart Webster and his wife Barbara Gramenos joined UUCLV in 2007. Stu initially worked with Terry Sokey on Buildings and Grounds and the Yard Sale. Stu took over the Yard Sale from Terry and ran it for a couple of years, this made him a member of the Finance Committee under Bill Korol. Stu also worked with Jerry King on the Safety Committee for a year. Prior to coming to Las Vegas, Stu held leadership positions at his church in Hartford Connecticut.
Larry McAllister, Audit CommitteeLarry and his wife, Lisa, have been members of UUCLV for over five years. Larry served two years on the Board of Trustees and the Personnel and Growth committees and also worked to help establish the Red Rock Gathering satellite location (now closed). You are also likely to see and hear him sing with the UUCLV choir, work A/V or assist in the count room. Larry enjoys hiking, bicycling, motorcycling, camping... most anything that entails going outside to play.
