Much of the life of our congregation takes place apart from Sunday Morning Worship. UUCLV congregation, friends, and members offer and support a variety of services, committees and other small groups for exploration, discussion, and edification. These groups provide many opportunities for socialization and social justice work, service groups, special interest groups, and more. Check out the offerings below to see if there is a group for which you have been looking, or a group that might be looking for you! Let us know and we'll be glad to help you find something that matches with your interests and unique needs.

Chalice Circles
Our Chalice Circles are small group ministries that meet in members' homes throughout the valley for fellowship and discussion in an intimate setting. If you'd like to make a deeper connection with our members, in a structured setting created for support and sharing, join a Chalice Circle today. Circle Suppers
Circle Suppers are potluck dinners that take place in homes of members and friends throughout the valley. Each supper brings together a different group of people for great food and even better conversation. They take place several times per year, so keep an eye on Weekly Flash announcements or contact a member of our Admin Team.

First Sunday Lunch Bunch
This is another opportunity for members and friends to socialize in a casual setting. The Lunch Bunch meets at the Desert Pines Golf Club, 3415 E Bonanza Rd, on the first Sunday of each month, after service. Luncheoneers usually arrive between noon and 12:30PM. Members, friends and visitors are welcome. No reservations are required, just show up and help us solve all the world's problems. Contact Bette LaCombe for more information and scheduled exceptions.

Through a partnership with Three Square, UUCLV members provide a food pantry for food insecure individuals, on the third Saturday of each month at the UUCLV building. This group focuses on serving our neighbors as efficiently and fully as possible. Contact Mary Jane Brustman ([email protected]), Keith McMillen ([email protected]), or Lisa McAllister ([email protected]) for more information. Open to everyone willing to volunteer.

Seminarium is a small group ministry, similar to Chalice Circles, with an emphasis on writing and reflection as well as sharing. Tarot Club
Our Tarot Club meets in the Social Hall at UUCLV each month on a Friday evening from 5:30-7:30PM. Participants of all ages and skill levels are welcome, even if you have never practiced tarot before. We always have extra decks available for people to borrow. Contact Viviana for more information.

Game Night
Join UUCLV members and friends for a night of tabletop and board gaming! This happens on the third Friday of the month most months from 6PM - 9PM. There will be a variety of games present, but feel free to bring your own. No food is officially provided but feel free to bring snacks or meals to share. New groups, which often form around interests like art, nature, or poetry, become active when there is enough interest in our congregation. Some of our previously active groups wax and wane along with the interests and time constraints of their membership.
