Current Job Opening - Nursery Worker

We are hiring a Nursery Attendant who will provide a safe, loving, and faith-nurturing environment for the children in our nursery.  The attendant provides the children with consistency from week to week that helps the children feel at home in the nursery.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR EMPLOYMENT:  

1. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
2. Evidence of maturity and interpersonal relationship skills.
3. Must have a patient, cheerful, and tolerant disposition towards age-appropriate child behavior.
4. Evidence of a willingness and ability to communicate both written and orally with others, and to delegate responsibilities.
5. Willingness to work and abide by the direction of the Lifespan Faith Development Council and/or UUCLV Board of Trustees.

REQUIREMENTS OF EMPLOYMENT:

1. Experienced in the care of children 0-4 years of age with the ability to adapt and interact with a variety of personalities/characteristics.
2. Must be able to provide two references within the field of Child Care or Child Supervision experience
3. Must be at least 18 years of age
4. Willing to submit to and pass a drug screening.
5. Able to pass background screening for criminal convictions for physical or sexual abuse or crimes involving children.
6. CPR training/certification for infants and children, or be willing to complete a CPR course at employer’s expense.

Every Sunday, 2 to 3 hours per week, $12.00 per hour.
There may be additional hours outside set schedule that are mutually established and agreed upon.

 Audio Techs

We need you! Do you attend Sunday services? Do you have a good ear? Are you looking for an easy way to give back to our community? We are in need of a couple of people to help us run the sound board on Sunday mornings. It mostly requires arriving a little before the service begins to set up the slide show, turning on the sound board, and getting the microphones ready to go. All the training you need is provided. It would only takes a couple hours a month and is a crucial part of helping to put on our Sunday services. If interested please contact Keith McMillen  [email protected]
