Stewardship Kick-Off Dinner

UUCLV Members and Friends Family-friendly Event.
Unitarian Universalist congregations are fully self-supporting. Members of the congregation make all decisions about the congregation, independent from a church hierarchy. Members and committed friends raise all funds for the operating budget, and ministries and programs of the congregation.
Each year the congregation asks members and committed friends to make a financial pledge, which will then be fulfilled throughout the following year. At UUCLV, we encourage a pledge totaling around 5% of a person's income, but we recognize that everyone's financial situation is different. When making your pledge, please remember that the congregation is relying on your promise of support when it comes to budgeting and anticipating income. If possible, please pledge at least $180 per year ($15 per month) as that is the amount UUCLV pays to the UUA per person in membership fees. If you cannot pledge enough to cover membership fees, please submit a pledge waiver request directly to the Board of Trustees. Discuss with them the other ways you might support the congregation. THANK YOU for your generous support to UUCLV! |
