UUCLV Pastoral Care Committee![]() Pastoral Care is when the Minister of a church and trained Pastoral Care Associates help other members & friends with their personal affairs. Things like: home-cooked meals delivered, occasional rides to and from church or other locations, phone call check-ups, and more are covered under this group. If you're interested in becoming a Pastoral Care Associate or if you need help, please reach out to Rev. UUCLV Social Justice Action GroupWe will discuss what UUCLV is already doing, what we have done in the past, and our aspirations for future actions. We will discuss having a measured strategy and letting it be informed by our mission and vision. Also, we will consider utilizing a multiple person leadership team (co-chairs, a council of leaders, rotating leadership, etc.) in an effort to manage and build capacity. Please reach out to Lisa and Gordon Bailey for more information about attending these meetings. minister@uuclv.org We will be meeting regularly once a month, with occasional Saturday morning working meetings with regular updates delivered in the Friday Flashes from the Beacon and from the pulpit on Sunday mornings. UUCLV Christian Fellowship![]() UUCLV Christian Fellowship is for UUCLV Members and Friends who are interested in a liberal understanding of Christianity, an eclectic interpretation of the gospel, or are looking to heal from the wounds inflicted by a forced childhood dogma. The forum covers pressing social issues with guest speakers and videos of prominent people in the Humanist field. This group meets monthly at noon on the fourth Sunday of the month and is open to everyone. The HUUmanist forum has suspended meetings during this time of Covid-19. UUCLV Fundraising Committee![]() Our Fun and Creative Committee: Fundraising The fundraising committee requires your help! With Covid-19, we've had to become quite creative in fundraising for the congregation. We’ve missed a major fundraiser with the cancellation of the always-fun, Trivia Contest.
