Come Worship with the UUs!
Samhain ("sow-in") is from an old Gaelic word, and means "summer's end". As we celebrate autumn and cooler temperatures, we remember that in some traditions and parts of the world, the temperatures may be turning to freezing. At Samhain, the harvests are completing, and the stores are being readied for a long winter, with the new year at hand. It is a time of preparation, transition, celebration, connection, renewal, reflection and remembrance. It is a time when the veil between the worlds of the living and the dead is thinnest.
At our UUCLV Samhain service we will share readings, music, and personal stories. Some may like to prepare for this service by creating an altar at home with personal meaningful items such as: photos to honor loved ones who have died, a candle or chalice, and signs of the season or harvest.

In order to prevent the spread of the Covid-19 virus, the UUCLV congregation has suspended most in-person programs and events for the time being.
UUCLV will hold Virtual Worshipful Gatherings on Sundays until such a time that we can come together in-person again.
